Dragan and Biljana are two followers of Jesus who are passionate about sharing the Gospel in their own country. They live and work in North Macedonia — a small, landlocked country about the size of the U.S. state of Vermont. Their country is bordered by Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo and Serbia.
In their desire to tell others about Jesus, they completed training offered by Reach A Village’s ministry leaders in North Macedonia. For the past several years, they have focused on growing a group of local believers in the town of Resen, as well as on traveling to nearby villages and sharing the love of Jesus.
More than half of the people in North Macedonia have heard the name of Jesus, but only about 14% of the people are followers of Jesus. As Jesus reminds us in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
“Our dream was to purchase a van so we could reach more people with the Gospel,” Dragan says. “Recently, we purchased and remodeled a van, transforming it into a small library and café.”
“Now, when we travel to villages, we serve coffee to the people we meet there,” Biljana says. “We also offer them Bible study materials and Bibles. As they get to know us better, we offer to come back and lead a Bible study for them.”
When Dragan and Biljana return to the villages, they use even more ways to tell the people about Jesus. They perform dramas based on Bible stories, preach to groups on the streets, and visit homes for more intensive Bible study and prayer.
As they travel in their van, Dragan and Biljana also take believers from Resen — especially young people — with them. “We are providing on-the-spot training in how to share the Gospel,” Dragan says. “Please pray for us as we travel and for the people who are hearing about Jesus. Some of them are hearing the Good News for the first time in their lives.”
